“Being assertive does not mean attacking or ignoring others feelings. It means that you are willing to hold up for yourself fairly-without attacking others.” by Albert Ellis, Michael Abrams, Lidia Dengelegi, The Art & Science of Rational Eating, 1992

This brings to mind a personal incident that happened to me while playing golf.  My golf training for parking around the greens was “always” park to the farthest side when the flag is in the middle allowing expediency.  As you walk off the green, others waiting can hit their balls without waiting for your to drive around the backside delaying their swings further.

A person said to me, “perhaps you need to retrain your training as I had to walk farther.  How does that safe time?”  Well it does, it is proven.  So when I backed my comment, I was  told I was arguing.  Hmm, expediency in golf saves minute on each hole creating a quicker round.  I think I will stick with training by the pro’s.
