Fear is only dangerous if we allow ourselves to be crippled and not take chances. Fear tries to protect us, for example: crossing the road when cars are coming. My practice is to acknowledge the fear by studying the issue and acknowledge my nervousness. The results are amazing when I honor my fear and myself fully in completing this task. How about you?
Here is a quote by Peter McWilliams, Life 101 that resonates with me. “To use fear as the friend it is, we must retrain and reprogram ourselves…We must persistently and convincingly tell ourselves that the fear is here–with its gift of energy and heightened awareness–so we can do our best and learn the most in the new situation.”
